To help enhance its unique golfing experience through technology
GolfNow Technology and Services Upgrade will Complement Recent Golf Course Renovations, Placing Brickyard Crossing at Forefront of Improved Customer Experience
GolfNow today announced a strengthened partnership with Brickyard Crossing Golf Course, designed to enhance one of the world’s most original golfing experiences through GolfNow’s best-in-class technology and services. Brickyard Crossing’s unique course architecture offers golfers the thrill of playing four of its 18 holes inside the actual Indianapolis Motor Speedway racetrack,
In order to complement the myriad renovation projects that have improved and transformed the golf course, the leadership team at Brickyard Crossing also enlisted the help of NBC Sports’ GolfNow to upgrade its technology systems to better manage operations and improve the guest booking experience through enhanced tee-time inventory management, pricing, payments and marketing.
“Our mission is to elevate the customer experience to an elite level here at Brickyard Crossing, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Golf Course,” said Jeffrey Williams, PGA Director of Golf at Brickyard Crossing Golf Club. “We are confident this extended partnership with GolfNow and NBC Sports Group gives us the technology and tools to succeed. As a community and industry leader, we are excited for what is ahead.”
“Brickyard Crossing is a world-class course set against an incredible backdrop, said Conor Daly, NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver for Ed Carpenter Racing. “It’s hard to beat playing a round at the Racing Capital of the World with the Pagoda in the background. This partnership with NBC Sports and GolfNow only serves to enhance an already epic experience.”
Brickyard Crossing is now using the latest GolfNow booking engine technology to drive tee-time sales as part of the GolfNow Platform, also giving the course the ability to maximize its tee sheet through the company’s proprietary auto-pricing tool. The course also is taking advantage of GolfNow Payments, with allows Brickyard Crossing to seamlessly integrate all online, phone and in-person payments with the course’s point-of-sale system.
In addition, the new partnership also includes all additional elements that come standard as part of the GolfNow Platform, including custom website design and development, and exposure to the millions of golfers who regularly use GolfNow’s industry-leading website to search for and book tee times 24/7.
“Watching NBC Sports’ coverage of the races is exhilarating, but actually playing Brickyard Crossing is an amazing experience that’s now made even better through our partnership,” said GolfNow Senior Vice President and General Manager Jerramy Hainline. “We applaud Brickyard’s leadership team for recognizing the shifting consumer behavior toward digital and their desire to incorporate the best technology to ensure they continue to deliver that optimal, total experience for golfers, from booking a tee time until leaving the course.”
“Two things I enjoy immensely in life are motor racing and golf,” said Leigh Diffey, lead INDYCAR play-by-play voice for NBC Sports. “Prior to calling the 2020 Indianapolis 500 for NBC, I got an opportunity to play at Brickyard Crossing. Playing holes inside Indianapolis Motor Speedway is not only surreal but unlike any golf course experience in the world.”
With four holes of the 18-hole championship layout located inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway – site of two of the largest, single-day sporting events in the world with the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 – and the balance adjacent to racetrack’s backstretch, Brickyard Crossing offers a golfing experience built for excitement. The course brings to life the vision of renowned architect Pete Dye, who incorporated various physical elements from the racetrack into his design. Recent improvements to the course include the completion of a two-year bunker renovation project; an extensive tree program for sustainability; a new golf cart fleet, featuring GPS, music capabilities, USB chargers and more; 5.5 miles of new or improved cart paths; and a fully renovated Clubhouse, including improvements to the pro shop, locker room, bar and deck area, cart staging area and parking lot.
