ParOne has obtained rights to live stream Ladies European Tour tournament broadcasts to popular golf apps and golf websites in the ParOne global network
ParOne has obtained rights to live stream Ladies European Tour tournament broadcasts to popular golf apps and golf websites in the ParOne global network.
The partnership with rightsholder U.COM Media covers more than 30 countries and also includes syndication of delayed tournament broadcasts and daily highlights reels. ParOne technology provides language translation unique to each viewing country. Rights are for 17 Ladies European Tour events from May through November 2022.
ParOne will air these tournaments for free, supported by ads intermittently throughout live broadcasts and highlight videos.
“Too many golfers and fans miss the captivating stories defining the Ladies European Tour,” says Dirk Glittenberg, Managing Director of U.COM Media. “Through ParOne and with little audience waste, our tournament broadcasts and highlight packages will now engage audiences in the golf apps and on the golf websites they essentially ‘live in’.”
“The Ladies European Tour is the ultimate competitive ground for elite golfers from many nations,” says JR Charles, CEO of ParOne. “They deserve even greater syndication and consumption; enter ParOne to exponentially expand the reach and lifecycle of these athletes in action.”
The timing of the ParOne-U.COM Media partnership comes at a time when female golfers in the U.S. increased to nearly 6.2 million in 2021, a net gain of 450,000 over prior year. Similar figures apply outside America.
ParOne is commonly referred to as “the wire service for golf videos.” It is the distribution hub for golf tournament broadcasts and highlight reels, and video segments covering golf competitions, instruction, courses and resorts, travel, products and human-interest stories.
The company burst on the golf media scene in 2021, modernizing how golf video is posted, distributed, accessed and consumed. It continues to assemble the world’s most engaging golf apps and websites to receive golf video content while partnering with tours, media and production companies worldwide to syndicate their golf broadcasts and videos. ParOne forecasts 40 million unique monthly active viewers by late 2022, making it the world’s largest connected golf media network.
ParOne’s syndication of live tournament broadcasts is free to tours and media companies with ad insertions. Budget only comes into play if broadcasts are “as is” with no commercials.
