Performance54 (P54), the world’s leading golf events and marketing agency, has landed experienced sports marketeer George Gilmore to head the team’s global marketing division.
Gilmore’s appointment as Marketing Director coincides with the business’ eighth anniversary and a new chapter for one of the fastest growing sports agencies on the planet as P54 continues to expand and enhance the services it offers.
Operating across a varied portfolio of golf brands, destinations and events, those services cover strategic consultancy, brand development, advertising, PR and communications, social media, content and creative design.
Heading a 40-strong team, Gilmore will spearhead the agency’s insights-led approach to campaign development, and quality assurance through ensuring best practices and critical learnings are shared across the division.
With nearly 15 years of experience in the sports industry, including leadership positions at global sports marketing agencies Synergy and rEvolution, Gilmore’s knowledge of strategic marketing, digital publishing and talent management bolsters the wide-ranging expertise in the department. Having previously led project delivery for global brands such as Amazon Web Services, ROCKWOOL and the International Tennis Federation, Gilmore is also well placed to build upon the expanding list of clients serviced by the agency.
